Cell Phone Policy
Cell Phone Policy
Crowley Middle School Cell Phone Policy (effective 2021-2022)
Students may be in possession of electronic devices. They may not be visible or used during the school day. Students are responsible if they are lost or damaged. Schools will have NO RESPONSIBILITY for making sure they are safe and secure. If they are visible or used during the school day, disciplinary action will occur (including, but not limited to confiscation and other consequences.)
The responsible person on the phone contract will be held accountable if a student uses the cell phone in violation of all laws. (This means if a child takes a picture over a bathroom stall, for example, the person on the cell phone contract will be held legally and criminally responsible.)
Please make a decision for your child as to whether your child is responsible and compliant enough to bring their device to school and remain in possession of them during the school day. Key Point: If your child has a device in class, it cannot be visible, used, or "accidently turned on and go off.”
During State Testing, students may not be in possession of any technological devices. If they are caught in possession during state testing, SEVERE consequences to the student and parent are possible.
